Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - Major Infrastructure Project

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + Car or Car Allowance + package

I am representing a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor and they have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major design and build infrastructure project based in Suffolk.
This project is integral to the UK's future energy landscape and represents a unique chance to contribute to vital national infrastructure development supporting the transition to renewable energy sources.
The Role
Working within a dynamic project team, you will play a crucial role in the successful commercial delivery of large-scale civil engineering and building works. Your responsibilities will encompass the full commercial lifecycle, ensuring robust cost management and maximising value.
Key Duties Include:
Overseeing all commercial aspects and cost management for designated project sections.
Ensuring project delivery remains within budget constraints.
Providing sound financial and commercial guidance to the wider project team.
Preparation and management of tender and contract documentation.
Implementing effective cost monitoring and control procedures throughout the project.
Identifying, analysing, and mitigating commercial risks.
Managing the entire subcontractor process, including procurement, negotiation, administration of payments, and final account settlement.
Ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and company procedures.What We're Looking For
We need a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record delivering major infrastructure projects within the UK.
Essential Requirements:
Significant experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a Tier 1 Main Contractor.
Strong practical knowledge and experience working with either NEC or FIDIC forms of contract.
Demonstrable experience in managing subcontractors, including procurement and final accounts.
Proven background within the construction, civil engineering, or related infrastructure sectors.
Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
Ability to manage workload effectively across potentially multiple packages or areas.
A relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction field.What's On Offer
