Job Description
Senior Network Engineer, SC Cleared
Contract Outside IR35 (Competitive Market Rate)
Duration: 12 months +
End client based in London (70% remote, with occasional travel to other UK sites)
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to help manage and optimize our client’s network infrastructure. If you’re passionate about network security and technology, we would like to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Network Infrastructure: Configure and maintain Fortinet (certification desirable) and Cisco networks
Implement Projects: Collaborate with teams to deliver complex network projects
Troubleshoot Issues: Resolve network problems in collaboration with Tier 1/2 teams and external support
Provide Expertise: Offer guidance on network-related projects
Ensure Security: Maintain a secure and compliant network environment
Optimize the Network: Continuously improve network performance
Skills and Experience:
3+ years as a Network Engineer with expertise in WAN, LAN, and routing (Fortinet, Cisco)
Strong experience with network security (firewalls, proxy, IDS/IPS)
Familiarity with wireless controllers (Fortinet, Cisco) and cloud services
Knowledge of the ITIL framework
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Experience in technical documentation
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or FortiGate NSE are a plus
