Job Description
ROLE- Senior Manufacturing Engineer
LOCATION- Berkshire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £45,000- £55,000 per annum dependent on experience (Please advise what you’re looking for)
My engineering client are looking to take on an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer with hands on process improvement skills, on a permanent basis, in the Berkshire area.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
NVQ/ HNC / HND / Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering
4 years’ or more experience working in another similar hands on Manufacturing / Process improvement role
Excellent knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Previous experience of implementing product and process improvements
Knowledge and experience of DFM
Knowledge of FMEA, PPAP and APQP would be desirable
Be familiar with ISO9001 quality standards
Be able to pay close attention to detail
Previous experience working in an automotive environment / manufacturing site with vehicles or similar would be desirable
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Able to work well alone as well as part of a small teamThe Senior Manufacturing Engineer role will involve:
Being a strong engineering presence in the department
Supporting the engineering and production team with the development and improvements of products
Being involved in various NPI activities
Providing overall engineering support
Being involved with process development
Working to the companies Health & Safety requirements
Creating Work Instructions
