Job Description
Shields Talent have partnered with a European leading company to hire a Senior Manager - IT Engineering.
This role offers a unique opportunity to join an organisation during a period of significant transformation, directly reporting to the Group Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for a small team supporting server, network and cloud whilst driving an innovative approach and adoption of best practices. The role will require someone to be technically hands-on whilst ensuring excellent communication across the IT and business functions.

Salary - £95k (20% bonus based on company and individual performance)

Location - Kent

Work conditions - Hybrid (2 days onsite) with travel to other UK/Europe locations once a month

Holidays - 25 days + bank holidays

Candidate requirements -
*
10 years working in IT infrastructure (5 years in management)
*
Extensive experience in implementing and managing large-scale, high-impact IT systems essential to business operations
*
Experience of managing teams working in a changing environment
*
Broad technical experience covering Windows infrastructure, Firewalls, Switches, physical/virtual Servers, VoIP telephony and hosted bespoke applications.
*
Significant experience in a Service Operations Management capacity, including all aspects of ITIL frameworks and project delivery lifecycle
*
Experience delivering services in cloud-based environments
*
Significant experience in the delivery of infrastructure related projects and services in a combination of on premise, datacentre, and cloud hosted environments
*
Working knowledge of the UK financial services/regulatory sector desired
Candidate responsibilities -

Line management of engineering team
*
Working to project deadlines and managing budgets
*
Accountable for ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and promoting standardisation
*
Responsible for contingency planning and exploring new technologies to align with the company’s strategic objectives
*
Developing and implementing operational policies, defining SLAs and KPIs, and collaborating with vendor management to ensure strong compliance and optimal performance of outsourced service providers
*
IT strategic planning, project planning and budget planning efforts
