Job Description
I am currently working with a fast-growing product company and a preferred Google ISV partner who have offices throughout the globe, and are on the lookout for 4x Senior Java Developers to join their team on a permanent basis due to growth. The role is fully remote working throughout the UK.
The company is one of the leading API portal providers and offers an AI-enabled API Marketplace platform that empowers enterprises to maximize the strategic value of their digital ecosystems.
The company has a global presence with offices in the UK, India, and Canada. The company has emerged as a global force in the API and cloud engineering space, where they serve clients across diverse industries including Banking, Insurance, Telecom, Healthcare, Retail, and Media.
Responsibilities:
On a daily basis you will find yourself following TDD and Clean Coding practices heavily, where you will be working on building out new features and joining a brand new team of 4. You will find yourself working across the full SDLC, focused on the backend, where you will be defining, building, iterating, and testing core products, designing and developing high-volume, low-latency Java code. You will support continuous improvement by investigating new technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
Who you are:
* You will be an advocate of TDD and will understand the benefits of using TDD
* You will be familiar with The Gang of Four design principles
* Strong with clean code principles (SOLID / Kiss / Dry / SRP)
* Highly experienced with APIs – Know the difference between API Gateway / API Management
* Strong Java Development skills in a Springboot / Microservices environment
* Distributed systems / Enterprise design patterns experience
* Cloud experience (ideally with GCP but AWS / Azure is fine)
* MongoDB or similar
* Build tools / Maven / Gradle
* CI/CD – Jenkins / PaaS / GitLab
Desirable Skills:
* GraphQL
* Angular
* Kafka or similar
