Role: Senior Hardware Engineer
Location: Dorset
Salary: Circa £50,000
Overview:
Exciting opportunity to lead cutting edge engineering activities, including requirements development and management, modeling and simulation, design, integration, and verification/validation.
Your contributions will directly impact the success of one of the most advanced naval ship designs in development today!
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead hardware engineering activities throughout the lifecycle.
* Serve as the point of contact with customers and suppliers, resolving complex issues and ensuring alignment on priorities.
* Make engineering decisions within your responsibility.
* Maintain qualifications and provide guidance to junior team members for effective development.
* Produce technical reports and present to management and peers.
* Complete tasks within budget and timelines agreed with project management.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
* Experience in hardware engineering, including requirements development, design, integration, and validation.
* Strong understanding of the engineering lifecycle and hardware engineering practices.
* Proficient with hardware engineering tools and problem solving design issues, including obsolescence.
Desirable:
* Experience with COTS hardware, blade and PC technology, and cabinet design, including wiring and power distribution.
* Experience in electrical and hardware system design and acceptance.
