Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
Location: Belfast
Hours: 37.5 per week

Overview
Our client is a leading consultancy who is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to work on projects across the UK and Ireland. This position is a key hire for our client because the Geotechnical Engineer will initially be working independently.
There is a strong opportunity to grow your own team and take on more responsibilities down the line.
They work on an excellent variety of work, from building projects, to renewables and marine.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct site assessments and manage ground investigations
Review and produce reports on soil parameters, foundations, and contamination
Lead geotechnical design, including slope stability analysis, shallow foundation, pile, retaining wall, soil nail, ground anchor design, and piling platforms
Design temporary works structures for deep excavations
Supervise technicians and attend client meetings
Ensure project compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
Requirements:
Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (or related)
Strong geotechnical design experience (ideally 5+ years)
Must have prior UK design experience
Proficient in design software and MS Office
Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills
Willing to travel; full driving licence preferred
