We’re working on behalf of a well-established M&E building services contractor based in Kent, known for delivering innovative and high-quality solutions across various sectors including commercial, residential, and healthcare.

The Role:
As a Senior Electrical Estimator, you’ll play a crucial role in securing projects by delivering accurate and competitive cost estimates. Your responsibilities will include:
* Leadership: Managing the estimating process for electrical packages on projects of varying scale and complexity.
* Tender Management: Analysing project specifications, drawings, and requirements to determine the scope of works and developing detailed cost proposals.
* Supplier Engagement: Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and reliability.
* Collaboration: Working closely with the design, estimating, and pre-construction teams to produce high-quality M&E tender submissions.
* Client Interaction: Representing the company in client meetings, site visits, and tender interviews.
* Industry Insight: Keeping up-to-date with market trends, material costs, and regulatory requirements to ensure accurate estimates.
* Mentorship: Supporting and mentoring junior estimators within the team to promote their professional development.
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will bring:
* Extensive experience as an Electrical Estimator, ideally at a senior level, within the building services or construction industry.
* A deep understanding of electrical systems, installations, and current industry regulations.
* Exceptional analytical and numerical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
* Proficiency in estimation software.
* The ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills, with experience engaging with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
* A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
Qualifications:
* Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field (e.g., HNC, HND, or equivalent).
* Membership in professional bodies such as the IET is an advantage.
* A valid UK driving license for attending site visits and client meetings.
