Job Description

As part of a high-profile infrastructure project, our client is tendering contracts for the development of a Train Dispatch System. This cutting-edge system will involve advanced technology and operational procedures designed to ensure smooth and efficient boarding of trains. We are looking for an experienced Senior Dispatch Systems Engineer who will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), supporting the selection and implementation of methodologies for the Train Dispatch System chosen by the winning tender. Key Responsibilities: Provide expertise in areas such as Automated Passenger Counting (APC), Platform Management, Train Departure Control, and Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC). Act as the technical authority on the project, ensuring the design, build, and testing phases align with best practices and client requirements. Represent the client during project phases, providing leadership and guidance through the entire system implementation. We are looking for engineers with a systems engineering background who can manage complex control systems. Ideal candidates may come from a variety of backgrounds, such as: Traffic Management Systems Aircraft Control Systems ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System), particularly Train Management (TM) systems, would be highly beneficial. This is a novel system, and we welcome candidates from diverse fields who bring fresh perspectives to the project. Location and Salary: Birmingham: £61,000 - £71,000 London: £73,000 - £81,000
