Exciting new opportunity to work for a leading principal contractor on a large leisure / stadium project in the North West valued at £50m.
About the role of Senior Design Manager
Due to new contract award, there is an opportunity for an experienced Design Manager to join a leading tier 1 building contractor on the design & build of a large innovative leisure & stadium project in the North West.
This is a fast growing region which can offer excellent career prospects and development opportunities over the next few years in to senior leadership.
Responsibilities for Senior Design Manager
Take the lead responsibility on the management & delivery of design information from preconstruction to delivery on site working to contractual & programme & delivery schedule.
Provide technical expertise to assess, mitigate and manage risk regarding design & financial risks during construction
Attending and chairing design meetings
Ensuring design & delivery meet health and safety legislation and building standards.
Requirements for Senior Design Manager
Background and proven track record as a Design Manager working for a principal contractor and within industrial, stadium, leisure or commercial projects.
An architectural background (ARB/RIBA qualified or Technologist)
A proven track record of managing design processes
* Ideally a background within a main contractor environment with responsibility for design fee/budget management, client reporting, and coordination through delivery
* Some previous line management experience
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage varying stakeholders effectively
Salary & Package on offer
Base Salary £75k - £85k (dependent on level / skills)
Car Allowance £6,500 / company car
