Role: Senior Internal Auditor
Location: East Midlands
Working pattern: Hybrid 1-2 days p/w in office
Contract: 6 Months
Rate: negotiable P/D umbrella
I am working on behalf of a Local Authority client in the East Midlands who are seeking a Senior Auditor to come and assist their team for 6 months.
You will be responsible for completing the full remit of local government audits.
Key Requirements for the role:
The ability to manage competing priorities and challenging deadlines.
Working autonomously and with minimal supervision.
Planning and organise tasks and workload.
Ability to analyse and understand complex information / data.
Excellent team working.
Ability to supervise and mentor junior / new colleagues.
Effective and confident communication skills (written and verbal).
Excellent numeracy and English literacy skills.
Knowledge and Experience
Public sector / local government.
Proven experience of delivering a wide range of audit engagements and consultancy. reviews, on time, budget and to the required quality.
Experience of following an Agile Auditing methodology Data analytics.
Public Sector Internal Audit Standards + Global Internal Audit Standards.
Experience of leading, mentoring, supervising and training junior colleagues.
