My client is one of the leading Private Client firms in the country, and the core part of their business is advising both UK and International private clients. The Private Client and Tax Department advises clients with a diverse asset base, including international businesses, luxury assets, and traditional landed estates. They specialize in giving proactive estate planning, trusts, commercial and wealth protection advice that helps their clients preserve and enhance their wealth, while also ensuring compliance and reputational integrity. Their focus is on providing a very personal service to clients with complex, high-value needs.
As a result of continued growth, they are looking for a bright, motivated and enthusiastic Senior Associate to join one of their London offices to be part of a busy and highly successful team. Traditionally, they seek candidates who have trained at reputable city or West End Firms who have 5 or more years of experience in a Private Client or Tax department.
Role Summary
Your experience must include advice on UK taxation, particularly for non-UK domiciled clients and international families. You should have experience in advising on complex wealth holding and family office structures and associated tax issues. Any knowledge and experience of trusts and wealth structures in other jurisdictions in both common, or case law is preferable.
The successful candidate would join the firm in a key role to work in a growing practice, where they would be expected to lead and supervise matters. The firm would support this individual with growth of business and practice.
Skills and experience
Excellent academics, minimum 2.1 and A, B, B at A Level
Strong technical skills and an ability to explain complex taxation matters in an accessible way
Team player
Excellent communication skills
A proactive self-starter with plenty of drive and initiative
Ability to run sizeable projects
Ambitious, with a commitment to develop technical skills and the profile of the international team as a whole
