Konker is currently recruiting for a Senior Architectural Designer to join an award-winning architectural practice based in Gloucester.
This practice consists of over 100 hard-working and creative staff members across 3 separate offices located in Newport, London, and Gloucester, with the latter being where successful applicants will be situated for this role.
Offering architectural services such as landscape architecture, master planning, interior and urban design, consultancy, and 3D modelling, candidates are guaranteed to be exposed to a range of tasks in day-to-day life at this practice. Furthermore, they operate in a variety of sectors including education, sport and leisure, commercial, residential, healthcare, community, and mixed-use.
The ideal candidate for this company will have some experience of working as an Architectural Designer in a design consultancy to ensure they are prepared for the responsibilities of this role. The position will see you assist with all aspects of design and job running in residential design.
Furthermore, you will be tasked with working on house types on a variety of large-scale residential schemes as well as working on bespoke one-off houses and individual housing developments. Teamwork skills are also essential as you will be working in a planning team from feasibility to planning submission. Strong technical skills in working with AutoCAD and Photoshop would be an advantage.
The salary for this position ranges from £30,000-£45,000 depending on previous experience and they offer numerous additional benefits such as flexible working, generous holiday allowance, and continued professional development opportunities.
The Role: Senior Architectural Designer
Working on variety of large-scale residential schemes
Bespoke one-off houses and individual housing developments
Liaising with internal and external project teams on residential schemes
Creating schematic design through planning submission to Tender package for mainly residential schemes
Working in planning team from feasibility to planning submission
