We are looking to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide learning and pastoral support to students with various SEND Needs at a lovely school in Basford, Nottingham (NG5). The successful candidate will be working across the school's SEND Provision as well as supporting in KS1 where required.
This position is full time, 8:30-3:30
The role is to start ASAP and will run up until April as a minimum.
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support to students with SEND Needs who struggle to access the curriculum ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
Work with pupils in KS1 with additional learning needs
Communicate with the class teacher and other professionals to develop and implement personalised education plans.
Monitor student progress
Work closely with parents and caregivers, providing updates on the student's progress and offering support and guidance.
Implement behaviour management strategies and provide a supportive and nurturing environment for the student.
Requirements:
Have experience supporting young people with SEN (this can be paid or voluntary)
Strong behaviour management skills
Have a DBS on the Update Service
Pay - £84.77-£90 per day - You must have at least two years SEND TA experience to qualify for the higher end of the pay scale
