Job Description

Supply Star Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of Warwickshire Council who require a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work with a child initially on a Part Time basis potentially moving into full time. Hours are flexible but generally 5 hours per day are needed within school hours. Although this is not a permanent job, it will continue term by term, academic year to academic year for as long as the child is home-schooled and therefore you may be required for a number of years. To be considered for this role you MUST have at least a UK Teaching Assistant qualification and have experience working within a UK Primary School or SEND setting with children in Y1-Y6. The child you will be supporting has Pathological Demand Avoidance and therefore you will need to be a calm person, who can be empathetic, nurturing, and patient. Your day to day tasks will be carried out mostly at the childs home with an academic tutor also present. At times you will be required to accompany the child on an educational visit to a local farm so you MUST have your own vehicle to be considered for this role. (45p per mile expenses for fuel cost) This role is a mixture of a 'nanny' and 'learning support assistant and you will be required to support the child with play and day to day activities more so than educational work. - If you believe you fit the criteria mentioned in this ad please send your CV for consideration
