Empowering Learning is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants for primary schools across Tameside and Oldham. We offer a range of roles, including temporary, long-term, and permanent positions, starting January 2025. Experience working with ASD, Down syndrome, global developmental delay, and behaviours that challenge is highly desirable.

About the Roles
We are seeking passionate SEND Teaching Assistants to support young learners and make a real difference in their education.
Responsibilities
Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students.
Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Support students' social and emotional development, promoting confidence and independence.
Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
Collaborate with teaching staff to meet students' individual needs.
Help prepare and plan teaching resources and materials.
Requirements
Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3).
Experience supporting students with ASD, Down syndrome, global developmental delay, or behaviours that challenge.
Strong understanding of the curriculum and learning objectives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A caring and compassionate approach.
