Job Title: SEND Qualified Teacher Location: Newham, London Start Date: ASAP Salary: £220 - £280 per day Class Size: 5 students Special Requirements: Experience with non-verbal communication, personal care, and PMLD Are you a dedicated SEND Teacher with experience in supporting students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD)? Principal Education is currently recruiting a qualified SEND Teacher for an immediate start at a secondary school in Newham. The role involves teaching a small class of 5 students, where you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of a tailored and supportive learning experience for each pupil. Key Responsibilities: Delivering high-quality education to a class of 5 students with PMLD. Providing support for non-verbal students and implementing communication strategies. Assisting with personal care tasks where required, maintaining a safe and respectful environment. Creating and adapting lesson plans to meet the individual needs of each student. Collaborating with the support staff, families, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the students. Maintaining accurate records of student progress and contributing to reviews and assessments. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience working with students with PMLD, non-verbal communication, and personal care needs. Strong understanding of SEND strategies and tailored educational approaches. Compassionate, patient, and committed to making a positive impact on students’ lives. Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and parents.
