Special Education Needs (SEN) 1-to-1 Learning Support Assistant Location: Brighton, UK Salary: £83.40 – £110.00 per day Contract Type: Part-time, Long-term Start Date: Immediate / February Half Term About the School: Our client’s school is a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment located in the heart of Brighton. The school values respect, empathy, and collaboration and are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1-to-1 Learning Support Assistant to join the team, helping provide tailored support to a student with specific needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one support to a student with Special Educational Needs, helping them to access the curriculum and engage in classroom activities. Assist in implementing and adapting learning strategies as outlined in the student's Individual Education Plan (IEP). Support the student with emotional, social, and behavioural challenges, ensuring a positive learning environment. Monitor and track progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator). Foster independence and self-confidence in the student, promoting a positive attitude towards learning. Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure a holistic approach to the student's education. Assist with any physical or personal care needs as required. Ensure safeguarding and welfare of the student in line with school policies. Qualifications & Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant (SEN experience is highly desirable). A patient, compassionate, and adaptable nature. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
