Job Title: Security Guard Location: Sheffield, City Centre Salary: £25,000+ Contract: 12 months, Full-time (Mon-Fri, 1-hour lunch break; potential flexibility for Tues-Sat later in the year) About the Role: Verus Recruitment is supporting a leading 3D scanning company in their search for a Security Guard to join their team on a 12-month contract. This is a unique opportunity to work in a cutting-edge environment. While your primary focus will be on maintaining security and visitor safety, you will also support participants as they navigate the scanning process, ensuring a welcoming and positive experience. Responsibilities: Provide a friendly and reassuring presence in the waiting area. Direct visitors to the appropriate staff or areas with clear and helpful guidance. Monitor entry points, manage visitor flow, and maintain a secure environment. Spend designated periods monitoring CCTV to oversee the safety of all areas. Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, disputes, or challenging situations, prioritizing the safety and well-being of visitors and staff. Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify and address safety or security risks. Offer assistance to staff, visitors, or customers, including providing directions, answering questions, or addressing concerns. Requirements: Valid UK security qualifications (e.g., SIA licence). Proven experience in security or a similar protective role. Familiarity with CCTV monitoring and strong attention to detail. Confidence and assertiveness when needed, with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally and calmly.
