Sea Freight Operations Coordinator (Exports) – Basildon Due to increased global growth, we are seeking a Sea Freight Operations Coordinator (Exports) to join our dynamic Sea Freight Operations Team in Basildon . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to take the next step in their career within a fast-paced logistics environment. 📍 Location: Basildon ⏰ Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:30 (1-hour unpaid lunch) 💰 Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum (depending on experience) Key Responsibilities: ✅ Assist the Team Leader and Sea Freight Manager in executing departmental goals ✅ Manage Sea Freight operations, ensuring smooth Import, Export, and Cross Trade activities ✅ Ensure Customs declarations are accurately completed and reported if errors occur ✅ Maintain compliance with invoicing, VAT/duty charges, and SOPs ✅ Regularly communicate with clients, managing shipments and providing updates ✅ Oversee procurement of Ocean Freight rates from shipping lines and co-loaders ✅ Implement and improve efficiencies in customer workflow ✅ Ensure timely reporting, invoicing, and document verification ✅ Provide holiday and sickness cover as required What We’re Looking For: ✔ Experience in Sea Freight Exports (freight forwarding background essential) ✔ Knowledge of the CDS system for Imports and Exports ✔ Strong organisational skills and attention to detail ✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel ✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team ✔ Flexibility to support occasional weekend work based on volume Company Benefits: 🎉 20 days annual leave + public holidays + loyalty holidays 💰 Enhanced pension contributions after one year 🏥 Private medical scheme eligibility after one year ⚰ Death in Service cover (3x annual salary) 🎁 Employee discounts, wellness perks, and confidential EAP support 🎉 One Milestone Day per year to take as you wish This is a fantastic opportunity to join a globally recognised logistics provider that values its people and offers long-term career growth. 👉 Apply today
