Position: Sea and Air Freight Operator
Location: Castleford
Hours: Mon - Fri 9am - 17:30
Salary: Up to £35,000 DEO
We are recruiting for a client of ours, a company, established over 100 years ago that specialises in multi-modal freight services.
The ideal candidate will be fully conversant in all aspects of Imports & Exports for Air and Ocean freight operations, ensuring smooth and efficient transportation of goods from origin to destination. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to offer top class customer satisfaction.
Your key responsibilities as a Sea and Air Freight Operator:
Coordinate and manage the shipment of goods via sea and air freight
Booking shipments with Origin/Destination, arranging with shipping lines
Customs clearance formalities - desirable
Track and update delivery statuses in the company's system and provide regular updates to clients
Job invoicing and costing
Arranging UK haulage and deliveries
Prepare, track, and manage all documentation related to freight shipments, including bills of lading, air waybills, and customs declarations.
Have sold Cargowise experience and demonstrate knowledge of data input, milestones, shipping documentation - ESSENTIALRequirements:
A minimum of 2 years experience with a UK freight forwarder in sea freight
Extensive Cargowise experience - ESSENTIAL!
The ability to problem solve and work effectively in a fast-paced environment and working to tight deadlinesBenefits:
