Teaching Personnel are seeking a fully qualified teacher of science, a Physics specialism is desirable but not essential – other specialisms will be strongly considered. We are recruiting on behalf of one of our partner schools in the Pontypridd area, a school providing Good (Estyn, 2019) education to over 1000 pupils in the local catchment of the Rhondda Cynon Taf local authority. This mainstream school is accessible by public transport but is best accessed by car, with staff parking on site available.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high, quality, well-planned lessons up to GCSE level.
Provide excellent learning opportunities for learners of all abilities, showing differentiation for ALN & MAT pupils.
Experience of working with ALN is desirable but not essential – relevant training can be provided.
Manage classroom standards in line with the school’s behaviour policy, sanctioning where necessary and rewarding where appropriate.
Work alongside other staff in the department and wider school to produce update and produce curriculum materials.
Have excellent communication skills, being able to work closely and professionally with children in a classroom environment.
Be an inspirational and motivational classroom practitioner who demonstrates the school values consistently.
Perform staff duties as per the school’s policies.
Essentials:
Qualified Teacher Status
Relevant undergraduate degree
Enhanced DBS registered with the update service
Level 2 safeguarding training
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
