Full-Time Secondary Science Teacher – Portsmouth, Hampshire
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time Secondary Science Teacher to work across schools in Portsmouth with a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £50,000 per year. The position is available for an immediate start or from Easter 2025 or September 2025, depending on your notice period and availability, providing a stable and rewarding career opportunity for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators.
Responsibilities of the Science Teacher:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, tailored to meet the needs of all learners.
Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback on student progress.
Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and academic excellence.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and share best practices.
Participate in school activities, events, and staff meetings to contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements of the Science Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialisation in Science.
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.
Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum for secondary education.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
