We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Caretaker. This is a full-time permanent position working 37 hours per week and we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
Main Duties
* Ensure the security and care of school buildings, furniture, fittings, and equipment.
* Maintain a safe physical environment with an emphasis on day-to-day site management.
* Act as the focal point for health and safety, ensuring risk assessments and inspections are completed.
* Manage external contractors, ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies.
* Respond to maintenance requests via Iamcompliant software.
* Utilise the Building Management System (BMS) for effective building operation.
* Carry out maintenance and repairs to buildings, furniture, and equipment.
* Provide occasional support to other Trust sites and act as a key holder out of hours.
The Successful Candidate
* Experience in customer service
* Committed and reliable, with strong interpersonal skills
* Flexible, professional, and proactive
* Proficient with IT equipment, especially computers
* Good understanding of Health & Safety principles
* Experienced in managing external contractors
* Trade skills and knowledge of general cleaning/maintenance (advantageous)
