Job Title: School Business Manager Location: Liverpool Are you a highly skilled and motivated professional with a background in financial management and strategic planning? Previous experience in a similar setting and knowledge of the Education system is essential. Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: Oversee the school budget, ensuring effective financial planning and resource allocation. Manage day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, invoicing, and procurement. Provide regular financial reports and analysis to senior leadership. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement the school's strategic plan. Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation. Contribute to the long-term sustainability and growth of the school. Human Resources: Oversee HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and staff development. Ensure compliance with employment regulations and maintain accurate personal records. Implement effective performance management systems. Facilities Management: Supervise facilities and maintenance staff, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment. Coordinate projects and maintenance schedules. Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure the school's compliance with relevant legislation and regulations. Develop and implement risk management strategies. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as necessary. Qualifications and Skills: A degree in business administration, finance, or a related field. Proven experience in financial management and strategic planning. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. Knowledge of the education sector regulations and funding mechanisms. Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
