Job Description
Seeking a motivated, dynamic & very personable Sales & Customer Development Representative with an in-depth knowledge of fresh produce and seasonality. The ideal candidate may well be a former chef or be a complete "foodie" with a passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and exceptional service. Engaging with clients & gaining an understanding of their needs, this position will play a crucial part in enhancing current relationships whilst expanding the customer base, driving growth.
Our client is a third generation, family owned, fruit & vegetable Wholesaler established in 1926. Supplying first class produce, delivered on a daily basis, their customer base includes restaurants, hotels, gastro pubs, Universities, schools & colleges and stretches georaphically across the West Midlands region, into the Cotswolds and Oxfordshire. Their success is based on the ethos of "sales through relationships" and in the development of their long standing passionate & dedicated team.
The role is home based with a requirement to be at the office in Leamington Spa perhaps once a week. A fully expensed company car also available for personal use, mobile & laptop are provided. An annual bonus of up to 10% of the annual salary is awarded, based on both personal performance and contribution to the team.
Responsibilities;
* Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers
* Confidently and personably seek opportunities to develop & secure new business
* Identify customer requirements and provide appropriate solutions
* Negotiate terms of sale and close deals effectively
* Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions
* Collaborate with the team to develop strategies for lead generation
* Provide exceptional customer service in a professional & communicative manner
* Manage time efficiently and effectively
Requirements;
* Proven experience in fresh produce with a sound knowledge of fruit & veg
* A real 'people person' with confidence and great communication skills
* Ability to negotiate effectively and drive sales through persuasive techniques
* Strong customer service orientation with a focus on client satisfaction
