We are currently recruiting for an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to join the management team at our long-standing client who are market leaders in their field.
Based close to the M1, they are a bespoke manufacturing organisation. There is a settled Sales Team in place, so this is the ideal scenario for a seasoned people-manager who is looking for a Sales Manager opportunity where they can focus on maximising sales and make their mark to drive a business forwards.

The Role – Sales Manager
Managing, coaching and developing an existing small sales/account management team who are at different levels in their own careers
One to one meetings with team, performance reviews and team meetings
Working on warm leads/incoming enquiries to the business - appropriately delegating to team members and supporting the conversions from enquiry to order
Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers
Increasing revenue to the business through maximising existing accounts, and new business acquisitions
Visiting clients at their site from time to time
The Candidate for Sales Manager - You!
Must have some kind of sales background
Demonstrable experience of developing teams of people is essential
Firm but fair style of management
Ability to win over an existing team and get the best out of them
Comfortable with dealing with a variety of types of stakeholders
Able to adapt between environments - from boardrooms to portacabins!
Have confidence to switch from ‘shirt and suit’ to ‘jeans and boots’ in order to adapt to the various environments of customer
Most importantly, you must be passionate about results and motivated to drive the business forward
