£45,000 - £50,000 OTE + bonus of up the 35% + Car
North of England – predominantly Manchester and Birmingham

We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Sales Manager to join us to assist in the development of sales within the Retail Convenience sector in the North of the UK, focussing on Shopfitting Contractors, and independent Convenience store owners and franchisees.
Base and geographical area:
You will be based at home with approximately 80% travel throughout the North of the UK. You will predominantly cover Manchester and Birmingham.
The area also includes Scotland & North Wales, however seldom physical presence will be required in these areas.
There will be on average 1 night overnight stay per week.
The role:
Reporting to the Head of Retail, you will focus equally on maintaining and developing existing customer base as well as identifying and securing new Shopfitting and independent Convenience store accounts within designated geographical areas.
The sectors you will be working within include: Small format Convenience and High Street Retail end users, plus Shopfitters, Flooring contractors, and Construction Project Managers.
Main responsibilities:

Securing project specifications directly with independent Retail end users, and small to medium sized Shopfitting contractors

Assisting the Head of Retail in defining and implementing a clear strategy for the development of the Retail Sector in line with the company’s overall strategy.

Gathering market intelligence to help estimate market potential and market share of Gerflor and its competitors.

Attending appropriate exhibitions within Europe.

Ensuring customer account and project data is kept up to date
*
Listening to market and customer feedback to maintain an aligned approach and competitive advantage
About you
This role is suited to an experienced sales professional with a successful track record; it would be an advantage to have existing contacts and experience with a building products bias.
You’ll be confident in proposing and delivering strong practical innovative business plans and have a collaborative approach to motivate others but within a largely autonomous role.
