Job Description

Position Details:
Contract Type: Temporary (6 months)
Hourly Rate: £12.82
Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm - 37.5 hours per week.As a Research Assistant, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on evaluating the performance of materials used in product manufacturing. Your role will include:
Conducting Pack Performance Tests
- Open products and prepare samples for examination.
- Manage workload and samples using appropriate IT systems.
- Communicate effectively with project leaders and other business personnel.
- Work diligently to meet agreed deadlines.
Evaluating Container and Coating Performance
- Accurately record critical product performance indicators.
- Visually examine samples, noting features of interest and relating observations to potential failure modes.
- Utilise advanced techniques such as microscopy to investigate potential issues.
- Report findings in formal reports, clearly articulating conclusions and recommendations.Essential Qualifications:
A-levels or NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field or equivalent.
A strong desire to work in a laboratory environment.Skills Required:
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
Excellent written communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
Capability to manage deadlines effectively.Desirable Attributes:
Previous experience in a laboratory setting (not mandatory, as full training will be provided).
