Job Description

Regional Logistics Manager Location: Wakefield (Regional Role - North) | £55,000 - £65,000 + Company Car / Allowance, Bonus Scheme The Role We are partnering with a global materials business to find an experienced and driven Regional Logistics Manager. This critical role ensures the safety, compliance, and operational efficiency of a mixed fleet, including HGVs, cranes, tankers, and drivers across the region. Reporting to the Logistics Director, you will lead efforts to maintain the highest standards of fleet performance and safety while driving cost efficiency and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities as Regional Logistics Manager; Fleet Compliance & Safety: Oversee fleet safety, ensuring compliance with UK & EU legislation and company standards. Supplier Management: Cultivate strong relationships with maintenance providers and drive adherence to service-level agreements. Operational Excellence: Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules, manage performance KPIs, and drive process improvements. Team Support: Work closely with logistics planners and coordinators to ensure seamless operations and training delivery. Audits & Reporting: Prepare for external audits (FORS), conduct spot checks, and provide regular reports on fleet and driver performance.About You Qualifications: Transport Manager CPC (refreshed within the last 5 years). Experience: In-depth knowledge of fleet and driver compliance, including UK & EU regulations. Skills: Strong analytical, organisational, and communication abilities.
