Job Description
Part-time RE Teacher (KS3-KS5)
Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Employment Type: Part-time
Position Overview: We are looking for an inspiring RE Teacher to teach Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 students from April 2025. The successful candidate will have full teaching responsibilities and will also take on the role of a Sixth Form tutor, providing guidance and support to our older students.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality RE lessons that engage and motivate students from KS3 to KS5.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing feedback and support to help students achieve their best.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning and promotes students' spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development.
Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans in line with the school curriculum and exam board requirements.
Support the wider school community, including participating in school events, parents' evenings, and extracurricular activities.
Act as a Sixth Form tutor, providing academic and pastoral support to Sixth Form students, helping them with their studies and future career aspirations.Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Relevant degree in Religious Education or a related subject.
Experience teaching RE across KS3-KS5 is preferred.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Religious Education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to continuous professional development and a reflective approach to teaching.What you'll get from us:
