Job Description
Our Client a Folkestone based Fit out and refurbishment Contractor are currently seeking a experienced quantity surveyor to join their growing team.
The nature of works are predominantly strip out, White boxing, refurbishment and fit out to commercial spaces. whos clients range from Universities, shopping centres, light industrial to housing associations and many others. Project values range from £50,000 to £1m.
The successful candidate would be based out of their offices in Folkestone but would occasionaly have to travel in to London to price up projects.
Our client also self-deliver the Majority of their works, in order to price variations, being able to price from first principles, rather than using subcontract quotes is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage day to day commercial and contractual activities
* Place orders with sub contractors
* Negotiate challenges and variations
* Support the preparation of interim and final accounts
* Produce CVR’s
Individual requirements:
* Proven experience within the construction industry in this role
* Good broad knowledge of construction
* Ability to work clearly and accurately under pressure
* Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and organisation skills
* Good level of Maths, English and IT
* Full UK Driving license
