Job Description
James Gray Recruitment are actively recruiting a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of one of our key Civil engineering and infrastructure clients in Inverness. This role will be a mix of office-based work and site visits.
This role is unique in that it will be a blend of both a Quantity Surveyor and Estimating role working on a long term, secure framework.
Our client:
* A leading UK business operating primarily within Civil's and infrastructure schemes.

What you’ll be doing:
* The successful Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing tender and contract documents, including performing risk, value management and cost control.
* Working on civil engineering and infrastructure projects, you will also be responsible for managing costs from inception to completion to minimise cost and maximising value for money.
* Pricing and ensuring estimates are submitted accurately and on time.
* Procurement for subcontractors.
* Final accounts.
What you will need to be successful:
* At least 4 years experience as an QS / Engineer within the civils sector.
* Experience in rail infrastructure highly desirable, although other civil engineering backgrounds will be considered.
* Good understanding of NEC 3 or 4.
* Proven experience in a fast-paced high volume environment.
* Ability to work independently.
