A leading Heat Treatment specialist has a unique opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join their business on a contract business, initially for 6 months with a strong probability of this extending or moving into a permanent position. Attractive hourly rate.
Summary of the Quality Inspector role
The purpose of the contract is to ensure compliance of inspected components to customer's specification.
Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector role:
Carry out accurate and efficient component inspection
Maintain component identification
Maintain inspection records
Liaison with production regarding priorities and customer requirements.
Ensure that any equipment used is within calibration and in good condition
Ensure that any specification used is the correct issue
Final release of customer product
Periodic checks and calibrations
Hardness testing
Follow company health & safety procedures
Follow company environmental procedures.
Comply with all quality system requirements.
Maintain good working practices and housekeeping.Requirements of the Quality Inspector:
Experience in Dimensional Inspection is essential
Experienced Quality Inspector or Mechanical Inspector is required.
Experience in the use of hardness testing equipment is essential.
