Job Description
The Company
A leading manufacturer is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join its growing team.
The Role
My client is looking for a highly motivated candidate with a background in quality inspection to support the day-to-day quality requirements of a fast-growing precision engineering company.
You will be responsible for inspecting components using various techniques, including Laser Scanners, CMM (training provided), and hand-held measuring devices such as micrometres, verniers, and height gauges. Additionally, you will complete FAIRs and Inspection Reports while ensuring quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
• Inspect components within required timescales and to specified standards.
• Complete FAIRs and Inspection Reports.
• Program and operate Hexagon Romer Arm.
• Program and operate LKQ CMM.
• Effectively communicate quality issues to relevant departments to prevent ongoing issues.
• Input quality issues into the ERP system.
• Contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Continuous Improvement activities.
The Candidate
At least 1 year of experience in a precision engineering environment.
Experience in the Aerospace or Formula One industries is desirable.
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings & GD&T.
Strong knowledge of manual measuring tools.
Experience with 3D scanners & CMM machines is beneficial.
The Package
The salary offered for this position is £35,000- £40,000 to candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
