Senior Quality Engineer – Stroud
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + excellent benefits
Hours: Full-time, permanent
Job Purpose
We are seeking a skilled Senior Quality Engineer to oversee and implement quality systems and processes, ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This role will lead quality improvement initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement quality systems and processes to meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
* Conduct quality audits, analyse data, and recommend process improvements.
* Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to identify and address product defects.
* Lead and mentor junior quality engineers, providing guidance on complex projects.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
* Maintain documentation related to quality systems and processes.
* Communicate regularly with key stakeholders, including senior management and customers, to provide updates on quality initiatives.
Experience & Expertise
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proven ability to lead and mentor engineers.
* Ability to work under pressure, balancing quality requirements with production demands.
* High standards of quality within a strong safety culture.
* Experience with ISO 9001:2008 QMS is desirable.
* Ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple deliverables.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
* Good numerical and literacy skills.
* Familiarity with quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements.
