Quality Assurance Operative (Nights)
Salary: £27,388 per annum
Location: Wiltshire
Working Hours: 18:00 – 02:00, Monday – Friday
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Operative in this role, you will support the quality improvement and right-first-time agenda, ensuring products are legally manufactured and compliant with customer specifications. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you’ll help foster a climate of quality and safety awareness throughout the production process to ensure product excellence.
Role & Responsibilities
Maintain elements of the quality system to meet company practices, codes of practice, and customer protocols.
Update and manage component specifications, product specifications, QA manuals, HACCP documentation, and customer specifications.
Conduct checks on products as outlined in the QA manual.
Ensure records are reviewed, checked, and signed off.
Assist in investigating complaints and quality failures, recommending corrective actions and preventative measures.
Conduct in-depth checks of products and packaging materials when requested, preparing detailed reports.
Audit relevant sections of the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance and reporting any non-conformances.
Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience in Quality Assurance, ideally within food manufacturing.
Understanding of HACCP.
Food Safety Level 2 qualification (desirable)
