Job Description
Job Title: Quality Management & Assurance Engineer
Location: Derbyshire
Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role:
We are looking for a Quality Management and Assurance Engineer to oversee our Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with industry standards. This role involves managing internal audits, coordinating with cross-functional teams, inspecting hardware, and raising non-conformance reports. The position also includes a focus on Health and Safety and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain QMS to ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Conduct internal audits and prepare for external audits.
* Collaborate with teams to implement Corrective Preventive Action Reports (CPARs) and drive improvements.
* Manage hardware inspections and associated documentation, raising non-conformance reports as needed.
* Ensure assembly equipment is calibrated and fit for use.
* Support the management of suppliers, COSHH database, and Health and Safety requirements.
* Contribute to quality-related projects and process improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in a quality engineering or related role.
* Strong understanding of QMS (ISO 9001, AS9100) and regulatory requirements.
* Experience in internal/external audits and process improvement.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Attention to detail and ability to challenge the status quo for continuous improvement.
