Job Description

Our client, a leading organization in the aerospace industry, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team in Redditch. What You'll Do In this role, your primary focus will be maintaining and, where necessary, developing a robust and effective Quality Management System (QMS). This includes reviewing customer, industry, and internal specifications to ensure processes meet or exceed requirements, driving improvements through Quality Leading Indicators (QLIs), Quality Best Practices (QBPs), and implementing Zero Defect Strategies. Your responsibilities will include: Driving initiatives like Quality Leading Indicators and Zero Defect Plans. Conducting internal audits in alignment with AS9100 standards. Developing and maintaining a QMS compliant with ISO9001/AS9100 requirements. Implementing corrective actions and preparing responses. Hosting customer or regulatory auditors as needed. Preparing and presenting materials to customers or internal teams. Providing technical support to customers and suppliers. Facilitating customer returns and generating associated reports. Developing process improvement and cost control programs. Formulating and implementing quality assurance procedures and policies. Performing other duties as assigned.Skills Required Prior experience working within an Aerospace manufacturing environment Basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices. Strong understanding of problem-solving methodologies such as Six Sigma, 8D, and root cause analysis, including statistical tools. Good understanding of Aerospace sector standards such as AS9100 / AS9001. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, independently, or in a leadership role. Strong organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and proactivity.
