Job Title: Qualified Tutor (QTS) Location: Harrow, London Contract Type: Temporary Start Date: ASAP Hours: Flexible, Part-Time (1-30 hours per week) Pay Rate: Starting at £25/hour (based on experience and qualifications) About the Role As a QTS Tutor, you will provide one-to-one support to students, tailoring your teaching approach to meet individual needs. Whether focusing on core subjects like Maths, English, or Science, your expertise will play a vital role in helping students build confidence, close learning gaps, and reach their full academic potential. Flexibility is at the heart of this role, offering you the freedom to set your hours to suit your schedule, whether mornings, afternoons, or evenings. Key Responsibilities Deliver one-to-one tutoring across core subjects, adapting to each student's specific learning needs. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to support academic achievement. Provide targeted support to children with SEN, using a nurturing and adaptable teaching style. Monitor and assess progress, offering regular feedback to parents or guardians. Create a supportive and motivating learning environment to build confidence and independence. Requirements QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) (essential). At least 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in the UK. Right to work in the UK. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). Desired Qualities SEN experience (highly desirable). A compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to teaching students with varying needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and families.
