Quality Assurance Manager
Reporting to the Technical Manager, as QA Manager you will be responsible for maintaining and implementing the required standards for food safety, legality and quality, including daily compliance with BRC standards for the operations. This will include managing the QA department and NPD.

Implementation of defined systems and procedures to enable accurate assessment, monitoring, and documentation of quality in a timely
To maintain and continually improve the site QMS to ensure it remains robust and fit for purpose including systems of internal audits, hygiene, HACCP, trace-ability, specifications, supplier approval, work instructions, customer complaints & focus, non-conformance, concessions, quarantines, corrective actions, and pest control
To ensure the QMS documents are maintained and accessible to the relevant key personnel throughout the business.
To work with Technical Manager to ensure that all products, both existing and new, are fully risked assessed as part of the HACCP.
To ensure production runs adhere to agreed specifications and
Ensure all QA daily tasks are completed and non - conformances are addressed and resolved.
Report and act upon non-conformance issues raised in house and by the customer. This includes monitoring of hold stock and disposals.
QA team planning against start of year plans and regular assessment of performance against targets through reviews, communication, and development /
Train all factory staff on BRC, customer and related documentation and ensure training records are maintained appropriately.
Monitor and investigate customer complaints and ensure corrective actions are
Publish monthly KPIs dashboard to Senior Management including critical concerns & continuous monitoring trends.
Report daily activities & concerns to Technical
Micro monitoring and reporting of any issues, this includes ATP
Ordering and maintaining stocks required for all QA
Understanding of foodTo apply you will have thorough knowledge of food safety legislation, understanding and application of labelling, previous experience with technical specification management and experienced of ERP software. Knowledge of long shelf-life products is also expected, along with NPD processes. Essential experience includes third party audit experience, BRC standards and liaising with retailers. You should be Degree educated in Food Science (or related) and be HACCP qualified. You will possess strong people management skills, with a solution-focused approach.
