Job Description

QA Lead As a Quality Lead, you will lead a team of four Quality Assurance (QA) professionals and play a pivotal role in ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality and food safety. You will oversee quality control processes, implement quality assurance practices, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the company’s reputation for delivering high-quality products to customers. QA Lead's Key Responsibilities: * Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance procedures for all products produced on-site. * Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards. * Analyse quality data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. * Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMP, and other industry standards. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and industry best practices. * Manage and document quality-related issues, non-conformities, and corrective actions. * Oversee sensory evaluation and product testing to ensure product consistency and quality. * Collaborate with the R&D team to evaluate new products and assess their quality and safety. * Provide training and support to production staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices. * Promote a culture of quality awareness across the organisation. * Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, testing results, and compliance activities. * Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement. * Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with cross-functional teams to implement changes. * Stay informed about industry trends and innovations to enhance quality practices. QA Lead's Qualifications: * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., HACCP, Six Sigma) are advantageous. * Experience: At least 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance within the food manufacturing industry, preferably with ready meals. QA Lead's Skills: * Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards. * Proficiency in quality control techniques and tools. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
