Python Tech Lead - INSIDE IR35 - Fully Remote
My client, a global consultancy is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to oversee the development and delivery of large-scale, high-volume SaaS-based data platforms. This is a fully remote contract role, offering an exciting opportunity to lead engineering teams and drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor engineers and cross-functional teams in delivering platform enhancements.
* Collaborate with Solution Architects to design and assess technical solutions.
* Drive the planning, management, and execution of internal and cross-functional projects.
* Act as a subject matter expert on development platforms and services.
* Stay up to date with platform and service roadmaps.
* Partner with engineering teams globally to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
* Champion best practices in software development and engineering excellence.
* Remove technical blockers and resolve security and operational incidents.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with technology, product, and operations teams.
* Identify and address inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and risks within engineering processes.
* Report on OKRs and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
* Provide support and collaboration to other Tech Leads across the organisation.
* Be hands-on with scripting, coding, and system builds where required.
* Take ownership of tasks assigned by the Director of Technology for Europe.
Key Skills & Experience:
* 5+ years’ experience as a Developer/Engineer.
* 3+ years’ experience leading engineers and cross-functional teams.
* Expertise in Python, JavaScript (React/Angular), and Java.
* Strong background in designing and delivering SaaS-based data platforms.
* Proven ability to drive technical strategy and lead high-performing teams.
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
