Are you a seasoned Purchasing Manager with a passion for luxury lifestyle products? TQR Plymouth is excited to partner with an expanding manufacturer, based in South Cornwall, renowned for its high end products to find a dynamic and experienced Purchasing Manager to join their team. You’ll be joining a business that is uncompromising when it comes to quality; where people are passionate and proud of exceptionally well-crafted products it delivers to its customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage a small purchasing department, ensuring efficient procurement of materials.
* Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
* Lead and mentor a team of purchasing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
* Negotiate contracts and build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best terms and quality.
* Monitor market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Essential Requirements:
* CIPS Qualification: A Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualification is mandatory.
* People Management Experience: Proven experience in managing and leading a small team.
* Manufacturing Purchasing Experience: Extensive experience in both direct and indirect purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
* ERP Systems: must be a champion of effective development and use of manufacturing ERP systems.
