We are looking for an experienced PRU Teaching Assistant for a full-time position at a Behaviour school in the Walsall area, where you will be working with students with SEMH and SEBD needs.
To be considered, you should have prior experience as a PRU TA a strong understanding of the SEND school curriculum, and a compassionate, nurturing approach to your work.
You must be a qualified Teaching assistant - ideally level 3 or equivalent
Have an excellent knowledge of the UK SEND school system
Have experience working in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)
Ideally have worked for at least 12 months within Special Needs
Safeguarding level 1 trained
DBS on the update service

The school is a pupil referral unit, who support young adults with behavioural needs and mental health issues. Therefore, it is essential to have a strong background in working within an PRU TA setting and be prepared to assist multiple students with diverse needs.
The school caters for secondary students, where you will be supporting KS3 learners. Your responsibilities will include providing targeted support in small groups and offering individual assistance to students within the classroom.
