Job Description

Service Care Legal are seeking an experienced and motivated Property Lawyer to join a local authority on a locum basis. The role will be focusing on temporary accommodation and right to buy matters. Please find below further details about the role.   ROLE:                  Property Lawyer LOCATION:          North London (Office-based, 2 days per week) CONTRACT:        3 months ongoing RATE:                   £32.00 to £36.00 per hour LTD (DOE and interview performance)   About the Role To manage a varied caseload and work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the effective and legally compliant delivery of services. Provide legal advice and guidance on property matters related to temporary accommodation and right to buy transactions. Manage a varied caseload, including handling property transactions, leases, agreements, and ensuring compliance with relevant housing and property laws. Work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to resolve legal issues and provide practical solutions. Advise on the right to buy process, including eligibility, statutory requirements, and conveyancing.The Person A qualified Solicitor, CILEx or Barrister with experience of working with temporary accommodation and right to buy matters. Strong negotiation and advisory skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal matters in an accessible way.
