Projects Assistant Job Advert
Veatu Flooring are a fast growing, commercial flooring contractor based in Colchester. We supply and install soft flooring coverings, ceramic tiles and resin on projects across the UK. We are part of The Situ Group which also includes businesses such as Situ Total Building Solutions, Situ M&E, Situ Construction and Situ Energy.
• This role will be office based, at Unit 4 King Edward Quay, Colchester, Essex CO2 8JB.
• 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Standard working hours 8:30am-5pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
• 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays. You will be required to use some of your annual leave during the Christmas break.
• Pay to start at minimum wage but may increase depending on experience/ability. • This is an ideal role for some who has just completed college/university. Daily tasks/responsibilities include:
• Ordering materials for projects on Sage 200 (training will be provided).
• Answering telephone calls.
• Scanning and filing paperwork.
• Processing subcontractor invoices.
• Working alongside operations and estimating teams to ensure smooth running of projects.
• Managing warehouse stock and deliveries with the warehouse operative.
• Maintaining the sample room.
• Assisting the estimating team with take-off drawings. Basic IT skills will be required, including the use of excel. We will provide in-house training and there will be opportunities for further training, if required.
