Project Manager
The Opportunity:
Are you an experienced Manufacturing or Engineering Project Manager OR Program Manager? The Project Manager will take control of multiple NPI Projects within this global engineering firm. The Projects are all of a technical nature and you will lead projects simulaneously liaising between internal and external customers. The Project / Program Manager will take responsibility for the successful execution of new product and existing product programs throughout all divisions of this global manufacturer. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery, meeting financial objectives, and exceeding customer expectations.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute NPI and production programs through all phases, utilising the PM tools.
Lead teams through the development phases, from award phase to first set production launch, using the APQP tollgate process, from program assignment to scope of work completion.
Deploy and utilise the APQP process for new products, adhere to business procedures and unite key functions to work collaboratively towards timely completion of all APQP deliverables.
Manage the key program documentation, maintain programs issue log, and ensure traceability of the program key milestones and decisions.
Drive weekly reviews with customers and report on key deliverables. Preferred Skills:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science / Engineering Degree in a related technical field.
5 years’ experience with launching new product development programs and managing multiple projects concurrently, including working directly with the customer
Ideally offer a knowledge of managing projects within a machining environment, although experienced Project and Program Managers from other manufacturing or engineering environments will be considered.
You must possess superb communication skills and have the confidence to manage customer relationships effectively, sometimes in difficult situations.Working Hours: Mon – Thurs 8-4, Fri 8-2
