Project Manager – Solar PV
Lead Installations | Drive Efficiency | Manage High-Impact Projects
The Opportunity
Our client is a leading developer of commercial rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV projects, delivering large-scale renewable energy solutions across the UK. They are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee installations, coordinate suppliers and contractors, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
This is a key role for a driven and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the planning and execution of solar PV installations (1MW rooftop, 5MW ground-mounted).
* Liaise with suppliers, site staff, and installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Manage procurement, ensuring materials and equipment are sourced and delivered on time.
* Conduct site surveys for technical and cost assessments.
* Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, Risk Assessments, and Method Statements (RAMS).
* Maintain project records on CRM and other project information systems.
* Lead Health & Safety initiatives, delivering regular toolbox talks and keeping procedures up to date.
* Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience managing commercial solar PV projects (roof and ground-mounted).
* Strong project management skills with the ability to optimise design, costs, and timelines.
* Technical expertise in HV/LV connections, battery storage, and interpreting PV/electrical designs.
* HSE qualifications (SMSTS, IOSH) and knowledge of UK DNO G99 & G100 regulations are highly desirable.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
* Full UK driving licence.
