Project Manager – Commercial Fit out
My client are new to the London market and already making their mark!
Their PMs are a well-rounded, hardworking, enthusiastic, and approachable people. They are very smart, know how to make money, know how to design, and know how to build. They can talk to all levels from subbies to clients, pension funds, stakeholders, and local neighbours. They will be responsible for “on-the-ground” site delivery with the following examples
of what they cover:
* HSE
* QMS
* Short, and long term program – TAP and Contract
* Project cost reporting
* Procurement, scopes, and tendering
* Contract management both up and downstream
* Team management and being the direct line manager for all staff on site
Their project managers will, in an ideal world, join a project at tender stage, leading the estimating & pricing, logistics, program, contract, tender submission and presentation and ultimately winning the job before taking it to site.
The PM will then lead the project procurement team (QS, Design manager, project engineer) through the procurement journey and onboard subcontractors in line with the project program. Our projects range from demolition all the way through structural rebuilds, technical services installations, services infrastructure plant and equipment upgrade and replacement, to high end CAT B or CAT A fitouts. All within tight London logistics and working in live environments with local neighbours.
Their PMs will partner very tightly with their Commercial Manager and Design Manager at a project management level to ensure the quality delivery of the project from a contract and design perspective and will from part of the business Project Management Group; the Project Managers meet every quarter to share lessons learned and improve the way the business is run at all levels.
They are looking for a PM to expand the business to the next stage of its life. The potential work in hand is extremely positive and as such we need to be proactive and bring someone into the business to bring them up to speed before delivering a project. This will mean a multidiscipline, learning role for the first 3-5 months, potentially with a small amount of shadowing as well as assistance in estimating, front end & design
